Before he retired, Peter Thomas was Principal of a further education college in Yorkshire; he now lectures on British heritage subjects in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, in Europe and on cruise ships. This is his second book; the first was Yorkshire's Historic Pubs (SPL, 2005).
