Sally Beauman was born in Devon, and graduated from Girton College, Cambridge. As a journalist, she has worked in America for New York magazine, and has written for the New Yorker. In England, she has worked for the Daily Telegraph, for Vogue, and was editor of Queen magazine. She has published two works of non-fiction, including The Royal Shakespeare Company- A History of Ten Decades; her novels Destiny, Dark Angel, Lovers and Liars, Danger Zones and Sextet have been translated into over twenty languages and have been bestsellers worldwide.
