Dr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor (Animal Science), College of Forestry and Hill Agriculture, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Hill Campus, Ranichauri, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand obtained his post graduate degree in Animal Breeding from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar and Ph. D. degree of Animal Science from Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra Dr. Kumar has served in different capacities in various organizations; as Manager (F.O.) and Assistant Project Coordinator in Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Ltd. Banda and Bareilly and as Research Associated, Animal Science, IVRI, Izatnagar, Bareilly. He also served as District Coordinator, Uttar Pradesh Diversified Agriculture Support Project (UPDASP), Bareilly and Executive Officer Biotech Agriculture and Rural Development Society (reputed NGO). Dr. Kumar has published more than five research papers, seven book chapters the more than forty popular articles and folders. He has also edited four books related to the field of Animal Science and Agriculture. Dr Kumar is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards namely Young Scientist Award for the year 2010 conferred by the Indian Society of Hill Agriculture, SARC Gold Medal Award-2011 of Scientific and Applied Research Center, Meerut, (UP) India, Young Scientist Associate Award-2011 by the Society for Recent Development in Agriculture, Meerut and Best Poster Paper award (Animal Science) during the National Symposium on Technological Interventions for Sustainable Agriculture, organized by GBPUA&T, Hill Campus, Ranichauri, Uttarakhand from 3-5 May, 2011. He has been the founder member of the Indian Society of Hill Agriculture, GBPUA&T, Hill Campus, Ranichauri, Uttarakhand and was honored for his outstanding contributions in strengthening the cause of the society. He is member and life member of more than fifteen national and international professional bodies and societies. Dr. Kumar successfully handled three externally funded projects in the field of animal science. Dr. Birendra Prasad, Senior Research Officer (Plant Breeding), College of Forestry and Hill Agriculture, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Hill Capus, Ranichauri, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand obtained his M.Sc. Ag. and Ph.D. degree in Seed Science and Technology for C S Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur and G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar respectively. Dr. Prasad has over eight year experience as Teaching, Research and Extension of Hill Agriculture and handling two AICRP projects on Under Utilized Crops and Small Millets. Eleven courses have been taught by him and guided more than twenty students as post graduate level. Dr. Prasad has published more than five research papers, twenty book chapters and more than sixty popular articles and folders. More than 40 research abstracts, publication and presentation of 35 research paper in national and international seminar / symposia in his credit. He has also edited two books related to the field of Agriculture. More than twenty Radio and TV talk have been delivered by him. Dr Prasad is the recipient of JRF by the ICAR as second rank and qualifies four times NET in Seed Science and Technology. He has been also recognized by the professional societies and recipient of Outstanding Professional Award 2010 in field of agriculture and Founder Fellow by the Indian Society of Hill Agriculture in the year 2011. He is member of more than thirty national and international professional bodies, societies and committees.
