Pfeifer is an associate professor in the School of Criminal Justice at the University of Baltimore and serves as the director for the Masters in Science in Criminology program. She received her B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and her Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of Maryland-College Park. She has had two articles published in the Journal of Criminal Justice Education focusing on teaching research and writing to criminal justice students.
