Reviews for Numbers on the Move
"This is a book that will bring immense joy to children while stimulating their imagination and creativity. It's the kind of education that could create a transformed society." -Deepak Chopra, author of On My Way to a Happy Life "Numbers on the Move capitalizes on children's primary mode of learning-joyous, lively movement-to help them master the real 'basics' of mathematics. Catch the beat with your child or student-and have fun!" -Jane M. Healy, Ph.D., Educational Psychologist, and author of Different Learners: Identifying, Preventing, and Treating Your Child's Learning Problems "Teresa Benzwie's Numbers on the Move gives young children the opportunity to connect with the kinesthetic ways that they are already thinking and moving. I will use this with my young students." -Katrina Toews, Director, The Washington Ballet@THEARC   "Teresa Benzwie has written a seamless, melodic intertwining of dance, movement and mathematic concepts, such as numbers, one-to-one correspondence, and counting backwards and forwards, which will captivate readers and listeners alike. With characters that represent the range of human diversity-from gender, race, and ethnicity to differences in physical abilities-all children will connect and relate to it. Each child will find someone who looks like him or her, leading to the universal appeal for this book" -Jody L. Eberly, Ed.D., Associate Professor & Coordinator, Early Childhood Education, Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education, The College of New Jersey
