About Wallace Stevens
Wallace Stevens (1879-1955) was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. He studied at Harvard and afterwards worked briefly as a journalist, before going on to study law. In 1908 he began working for the legal department of an insurance company, and was ultimately appointed vice-president of the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company in 1934.
