Guy Vanthemsche is Professor of Contemporary History at Free University Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel). Professor Vanthemsche is also Secretary of the Royal Commission of History in Belgium. He is co-director of the Belgium-based journal Revue Belge de Philogie et d'Histoire.
