About Stella Rutter
Stella Rutter was educated at Southern College of Art, Portsmouth, and went on to the Experimental Drawing Office, Whale Island. She transferred to Vickers-Armstrong, the world-famous designer of the Spitfire, where she found herself to be the only girl amongst male draughtsmen.
