The best Return that can be made to the Order of the Honourable House is the Accompanying Memorandum, preserved in the Office of the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland’. The said Memorandum is Titled [Report of the Commissioners of Public Works communicated to the Meeting of the Proprietors interested in the Lands liable to Flood from the overflow of the River Barrow, assembled at the Town of Monasterevan on the 17th April 1851] The Memorandum states that the Survey could not be completed due to the Treasury’s Decision that any further money for such a purpose should be advanced by the Parties interested.
