Since the late 19th century, publishers and authors have collaborated to produce finely bound books, usually on special paper with limited production, and they are generally, though not always, signed by the author. Over the years Kennys have produced many limited editions, including works by Samuel Beckett, Benedict Keily, Neil Jordan, Seamus Heaney and Jennifer Johnston. We also carry a stock of fine limited editions, many of which are available for that special presentation.

This is O�Connors follow up to the hugely successful "Star of the Sea", a moving historical novel set during the Irish Famine. This book picks up the story, albeit with effectively different characters, in the American Civil War. The Laughter of Mothers by Paul Durcan
This is Pauls new edition of poetry, and first for a couple of years. This limited edition is sure to be as sought after as his last edition "The Art of Life" which sold out quickly. It is bound in full leather with slipcase, and is limited to 100 copies. As for the poems, they as as good as we have come to expect from the Westport poet, with poems such as "My Mothers Secret" standing out especially. .

Shade by Neil Jordan
It is not always recognised that the Oscar-winning director Neil Jordan is an accomplished author in his own right. With one collection of short stories and three novels already to his credit, he surpasses himself in this wonderful new novel. Since the founding of the Book Bindery in 1974, Kennys have endeavoured to celebrate literary works of note by producing Limited Editions in Handcrafted Leather of them. It is with great pleasure that we present this Limited Edition of Neil Jordan's "Shade".
