KENNYS BOOKS LIMITED EDITIONS

Since the late 19th century, publishers and authors have collaborated to produce finely bound books, usually on special paper with limited production, and they are generally, though not always, signed by the author. Over the years Kennys have produced many limited editions, including works by Samuel Beckett, Benedict Keily, Neil Jordan, Seamus Heaney and Jennifer Johnston. We also carry a stock of fine limited editions, many of which are available for that special presentation.

Kennys have many other limited edition Irish books, which you can search for here. Irish Limited Edition Search

Redemption Falls by Joseph O' Connor

This is OConnors follow up to the hugely successful "Star of the Sea", a moving historical novel set during the Irish Famine. This book picks up the story, albeit with effectively different characters, in the American Civil War. OConnors growing presence as a writer is ably demonstrated by his prose and plot which interlink just as well as they did in "Star of the Sea". A super book. It is limited to 100 Copies.

"The Master" is his finest achievement. The story focuses on the life of Henry James, an acknowledged master of the modern novel. Schopenhauer's Telescope by Gerard Donovan

Schopenhauer's Telescope Schopenhauer's Telescope

Gerard Donovan is one of Ireland's most exciting writers. Having already established himself primarily with poetry, he has produced a magnificent first novel in "Schopenhauer's Telescope".
Set during the Balkan wars, this is fiction at its very best. A mixture of social commentary, love story and a scathing indictment of the association between history and violence, "Schopenhauer's Telescope" is a powerful piece of writing.
This edition is limited to 50 copies. It is bound in quarter goatskin with raised bands, hand tooled spine, top edge gilt and marble boards by Kenny's Bindery Ltd., and is signed by the author, Gerard Donovan.

Dancer by Colum McCann

Dancer Dancer

Colum McCann is one of Ireland's most promising young writers. Having already established himself with "Fishing the Sloe Black River", "Songdogs", "This Side of Brightness" and "Everything in this Country Must", he has produced a magnificent novel in "Dancer".
A fictional biography of the Russian ballet dancer Rudolph Nureyev, this is novel writing at its best. It is ambitious, yet controlled, with not a wasted word.
This is a limited edition of 75 copies, signed by the author, bound in quarter goatskin, with raised bands, hand tooled spine, top edge gilt and marble boards by Kennys Bindery Ltd, Galway.
