Eva Salzman grew up in Brooklyn and on Long Island, USA. Her collections are The English Earthquake (Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, Bloodaxe, 1992), which was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation; Bargain With The Watchman (Oxford, UK, Oxford University Press, 1997), which won a Special Commendation; and Double Crossing: New & Selected Poems (Bloodaxe, 2004). Among her awards are a Society of Authors Award in 1999 and a London Arts Board New Writers Bursary in 1996. She has recorded frequently on BBC television and radio, including the World Service. She is a frequent visitor to Ireland and has lived in Britain since 1985.
