Joseph O'Neill was born in Cork in 1964. He is the author of two novels, This Is The Life (London, Faber & Faber, 1991) and The Breezes (Faber & Faber, 1995), and of a work of non-fiction, Blood-Dark Track: A Family History (London, Granta Books, 2001). He lives in New York and London.
