Mary O'Donoghue was born in 1975 and grew up in Co. Clare. Her first collection, is Tulle (The Cliffs of Moher, Salmon Publishing, 2001). She has received the Sean Dunne Young Writer Award and the inaugural Salmon Poetry Publication Prize. She was also the winner of the Hennessy / Sunday Tribune First Fiction Award and the overall New Irish Writing Award for 2001.
