Katy Hayes was born in Dublin in 1965, and has worked as a theatre director and playwright. She has published a collection of short stories, Forecourt, (Dublin, Poolbeg, 1995); and two novels, Curtains(London, Pheonix House, 1997); and Gossip (Pheonix House, 2000). She lives in Dublin.
