Owen Gallagher was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1949 of Irish parents. His mother was from Leitrim, his father, Donegal. His first collection is Sat Guru Snowman (UK, Peterloo Poets, 2001) He has received an award from the London Arts Board in 2002 to work on his next collection. He lives in London.
