Anne Barrett was born in Clare. She has had two plays produced for the Dublin stage, and has had work produced for Channel 4, BBC, and RTÉ. A sixty-minute TV film for Channel 4, Spring Cleaning, won Special Juror's Award at the Cork Film Festival and was screened throughout Europe. Her most recent production is Chambers (Dublin, Andrews Lane Theatre). Shadowtackle (City Arts Centre, Dublin, Team Educational Company, 1990), is a play for post-primary school students. Her latest script, Wild Horses, a feature film, is set in the world of gypsies and nomads. She lives in Wicklow.
