Irish Counties - Tipperary
County Tipperary (Contae Tiobraid Árann in Irish) is a county in the Republic of Ireland, in the province of Munster. Tipperary is known for its horse breeding (Coolmore Stud is the largest thoroughbred breeding operation in the world), its fertile agricultural land, and its hurling teams.
For the purposes of local government the county is divided into North Tipperary (county town: Nenagh) and South Tipperary (county town: Clonmel).
