Just a quick note of thanks for your site.  I tried for over two to three hours today to order online some books for my aunt and uncle, who reside in Dublin.  I am currently in the US.  I tried amazon in the UK and the US, which either couldn't perform the task or were too expensive.  Eason's and Booksunlimited.ie didn't have the books I wanted. Thank you so much.  And free shipping worldwide no less!! I feel that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.  Patricia, USA

Hi there, I am writing to thank you very much for the prompt delivery of my book purchase.
As an Australian, I find it incredible that I can purchase a book from Ireland, have it delivered to my door and in mint condition for half the cost of a local purchase.
Great service. Thank you again.  I am most impressed.

As a vivid book shopper, I must say that my experience with Kenny's Book was a breeze. Wonderful E-mail ordering and when I received the book ' The Chef and I ' eight days after placing my order in the USA...they where tightly and securely packed ( a big plus for me) and such a well made book for the small price. I shop at many book stores around the word, due to the diversity of my reading...but I think I have developed a nice warm relationship with Kenny's Book. that I hope will continue. Thank you                Robert, USA via Facebook

Desi,

On Monday last, July 4th I ordered a book, 'The Happiness Hypothesis' on line from your business.

My understanding was that it would take two working weeks to arrive and be in ample time to help me prepare a workshop on 'Happiness' for the end of the month. (you are aware of my penchant for lastminute.com preparation)

Imagine my surprise this morning (July 8th)' when there, strewn amongst the bank statements and the other brown letters, was a packageen from Kennys. This has put me in a dilemma I'm patently unfamiliar with - having ample time to prepare for my workshop.

Maith thú Desi. You're doing a great job.
Dea ghui,
Padraic

Postage included I feel is a great idea and the simplicity of your ordering process wins hands down over amazon, as I was never sure what the end figure would be.

Dear members of the Kennys Team! I just had a large order of about 14 books or so arrive safe and sound from Ireland to me here in Canada. The were packaged perfectly, arrived safe and sound and were also very quickly delivered from across the pond. I cannot thank you enough for your great service, outstanding collection that you have to choose from, and your care with my order.
I will be back ordering books from you again soon.
All the best from Canada and thank you again,
Sincerely,
Arthur Milnes, Canada

"Dear Webmaster:  At last: a wonderfully SIMPLE account creation and payment process all on ONE screen—thank you. And having no silly address entry format restrictions is just great. I've been wondering was it just me, as I thought dark thoughts about other suppliers for many years . . .This is definitely the best in class worldwide!"

"Hello Des, Received the books last week thank you very much. You may notice that I placed another with kenny.ie tonight. All of the books purchased were cheaper than on Play.com a website I use. Also my last order was for childrens books and not only were kenny.ie cheaper but also the only site I could get the four titles I was looking for. Success with the website and I am delighted you have developed it."

JENNY - I have a wonderful story to tell to you - about my love for KENNY'S BOOKSHOP.

I must begin by saying that we were living in Santa Monica, California, U.S.A. when I wrote the letter.  We had returnedfrom a wonderful month long trip to Ireland, with the fondest of memories.

Here is my story:

Many years ago (about 1985 or so), I sent a letter to your shop, asking if you had a new cookery book in stock by Irish author MOLLY KEANE.  A book on NURSERY COOKING. I waited for a reply for several weeks or so.  No letter arrived.

Then - out of nowhere - a lovely package arrived from KENNY'S BOOKSHOP.  Beautifully packaged in many layers of different paper.  Brown craft paper, lovely floral paper, velum, tissue, etc.  And inside - having never actually ordered or even paid for the book! - was the book I had inquired about.  And there was more.......

There was a handwritten note that said something to the effect:  "Your letter sounded like you were in a hurry to have this new book by Molly Keane - as you were very enthusiastic!  We thought it best to send it to you, straight away."  There was included a handwritten invoice, with a note attached that said:  "As for payment, when you are next in Galway - whenever that may be - kindly pop in to our shop for a nice cup of tea, and you can settle your payment at that time."  (Note:  I had made no mention whatsoever of a future trip to Ireland!)

Of course I sent payment, Air Mail, at once.  However, we will never ever forget the trust and kindness of KENNY'S.

We have told this story over and over - and no one can believe it!  As for me, I will never forget this story.  I am sure you can see why there is a big spot in my heart for KENNY'S!

Hoping you enjoyed my tale, and thanking you once again

I remain warmly yours,

EDENA, West Vancouver, B.C.,CANADA

I thought I let you know that I am really pleased with the postal service that Kennys.ie provides for customers and I received my package of 2 books bright and early this Monday morning before 9am from its UK service.  These were 2 identical non-fiction books;  "From the Earth, A Cry - the story of John Boyle O'Reilly"  by Ian Kenneally, Collins Press, Cork (2011) on the well-known in the 1880s and 1890s in the US -- writer, journalist, and editor of one the major and influential Irish-American Catholic newspapers "the Pilot" in Boston, USA from 1871 to 1890 when he died suddenly of overwork and exhaustion.    I think he was an amazing man as he highlighted social and civil rights issues for African-American as well as for the Irish emigrants in the US.  He was somewhat modern too in his thinking and very handsome in his youth.  His Mountjoy prison photo taken when he was 22 and shipped out to Australia in 1866 and from where he escaped to the US a year later -  shows a smart-looking young man, who wouldn't have looked out of place as a fashion model in our time.  I got one bk for me and same for a good friend, he has a longer interest than me in Irish history here and overseas.  I think Ian Kenneally's book is very valuable.  Excellent, readable and absorbing on John Boyle O'Reilly - 1844 to 1890.  I would give it 5 stars = excellent.
