This class, together with the Leaving Cert Classes of 1975 and 1976 are having a reunion this weekend. It will begin with mass in the Jesuit Church on Saturday at 6pm. Later there will be dinner and socializing in Glenlo Abbey at 8pm. Tickets are EUR50.00, and can be got from David Niland at david@gci.ie, or from Ollie Daniels, Conor Kenny, Joe O'Neill, Paul Lawless, Padraig O'Ceidigh and Declan Larkin. The committee would especially like to hear from the class of 1976. If you have any old school photographs you should bring them along. It will be an evening full of nostalgia, a chance to meet old friends and teachers and exchange stories, tall or otherwise.

Joe O'Neill remembers his last year in school as the beginning of a new era with the first intake of girls to the school, and the removal of the ban on rugby in the Jes, leading to epic battles against the Bish in the City Cup.

To round off the weekend, there will be a jazz session in Busker Brownes on Sunday morning.

Finally, in spite of serious research, we have been unable to identify the dog, bottom left. Can you help?

Birdwatch Galway invite you to an illustrated talk "The Birds and Whales of Mexico" by Dick Coombes, National organiser of the Irish Countryside Bird Survey at the Anno Santo Hotel, Threadneedle Road, Galway on Friday 25th October 2002 at 8pm. All are welcome (a voluntary contribution will be appreciated). For further information phone 091-552519
